Hey, I'm Carleigh!
I'm the girl behind Captures by Carleigh- a photographer based in Dinwiddie, Virginia, serving Richmond and beyond.
But before I'm a photographer, I'm a mom, a wife, and someone who genuinely loves the little moments that make up a life.
Photography started as a way for me to hold onto those moments for my own family, and somewhere along the way, it became something I wanted to share with other people, too. I know how quickly seasons change and how easy it is to think, "I'll take the pictures next time." I want to help you slow down long enough to actually be in the moment- and have something beautiful to remember it by.
When I'm not behind my camera, you'll usually find me with my family, homeschooling, planning my next session, or probably talking about photography way more than my family asked me to.
I'm drawn to the things that feel real- the belly laughs, the quiet glances, the nervous excitement, the messy little details, and the people you love most.
My goal isn't to make your photos feel overly posed or perfect. I want them to feel like you.
Whether you're celebrating your wedding day, documenting your family, or simply wanting photographs of this season of life, I want you to feel comfortable, cared for, and completely yourself in front of my camera.
